Probiotic Oral Rehydration Solution The patented lactic acid bacterium L. reuteri Protectis helps the good microorganisms keep a natural balance in the gut. Because L. reuteri Protectis naturally colonizes humans it has a strong adaptation to persist and interact with humans. Suitable for infants and children.
Preparation: Stir 1 sachet into 250 ml water. Boil the water if you are not sure of the water quality or use bottled water. Boiled water should be cooled before adding the Pro-ORS as hot water may damage the live bacteria. When the product is mixed it should be consumed within 6 hours when stored in refrigerator (max 4 °C/39 °F) and within 3 hours when stored in room temperature (max 25 °C/77 °F).
Important: Always use the volume of water stated. If the product is not mixed with enough water, the body will receive too much salt, which can be dangerous.
Always contact your child health center or doctor if the child seems abnormally tired, does not want to drink or is not urinating.
Storage: Store in a dry place, not above room temperature (max 25 °C/77 °F). Keep out of reach of children.
Ingredients
Glucose, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, L. reuteri and zinc sulphate. One sachet contains a minimum of 1 billion live L. reuteri Protectis.
Are there any side effects from taking Symmebact-ORS?
Since every gastrointestinal tract is unique some individuals might experience a temporary change in gut motility Symmebact-ORS very rarely cause side effects in the amounts recommended for the products. Some individuals might experience gas (flatulence), but that generally disappears after a few days. No serious adverse effects have been observed in clinical trials up to the maximum tested dosage of 10 billion CFU per day.

Symmebact-ORS products comes in different versions, we therefore recommend you to follow the instructions on the package. However, if room temperature is above 25°C/77°F we always recommend storage in the fridge.
Can Symmebact-ORS Sachet be stored in the freezer?
Symmebact-ORS Sachet should not be stored in the freezer, as this will significantly shorten the shelf-life of the product.

What is Lactobacillus reuteri?
Lactobacillus reuteri (L. reuteri) is a probiotic bacteria that has co-evolved with humans since the beginning of time, and because of that it is adapted to its host. L. reuteri is among the first bacterial species to naturally become established in the microbiota of the newborn. Can I still use Symmebact-ORS Sachet or tabs if they have been exposed to temperatures over 25 °C / 77 °F?
Exposure to high temperatures and/or high humidity will significantly shorten the shelf-life of the product. However, the product will still be safe to use.
